MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A television show based on the Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet will be shot in Memphis.
The show will focus on Sun Studio and artists such as Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Ike Turner.
Leslie Greif is the executive producer.
The series, which will air on CMT, will shoot in Memphis due to $4 million in tax incentives from the Tennessee Entertainment Commission.
It’s not clear how many Memphis based jobs will be created.
Shooting will begin in March, while a casting call will be held February 13 at Humes Preparatory Academy Middle School.
Casting call hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
Those attending the casting call should come dressed in 1950’s hair styles and wardrobe.
