MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are dead after a crash on North Watkins Street at Thomas Street on Friday evening.
Police said the driver was speeding eastbound on North Watkins Street when the right front tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control and strike an iron fence.
The car also went airborne, hitting several trees.
Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the car.
The driver died at the scene.
The passenger was transported to Regional Medical Center and later died.
