MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The City of Memphis announced two major road closures on Tuesday.
According to a news release, New Allen Road between Raleigh Millington Road and Bluff Wood Drive will be closed.
WREG was told the closure would last three weeks, and was meant to help crews replace a drainage pipe in the area.
Detour signs will be posted and will utilize Ridgemont Avenue and Raleigh Millington Road.
Also being closed: A. W. Willis Avenue between North Main Street and North Second Street.
This road will be closed until Saturday, May 23 for asphalt maintenance.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured to North Main Street, Shadyac Avenue and North Second Street.
Westbound traffic will be forced to use North Second Street, Mill Avenue and North Main Street.
Avoid the areas if you can or plan a few extra minutes into your commute.
