TUNICA COUNTY, Miss. — Two people were injured Tuesday in a shooting along Highway 61 in Mississippi.

The shooting happened somewhere in Coahoma County, but the victims made their way across the county line into Tunica County, Tunica authorities said.

Authorities said the victims were a female driver and male passenger. They were airlifted to Regional One in Memphis.

They were calling 911 when deputies spotted them on the highway.

The shooter is still at large. Coahoma County is investigating.
