MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police were led on a chase near the University of Memphis Friday afternoon.
According to MPD, they received a call from an individual saying they spotted a person possibly wanted for aggravated assault near Southern and Prescott.
When police made the scene, they located the individual who hopped into a vehicle with another man and fled.
Once the duo reached Southern and Highland, they bailed.
It’s unclear what happened next, but in the course of searching for the men MPD received a call from the University of Memphis police who said they had the suspect in custody.
This is an ongoing investigation.
The suspect has not been identified at this time.
