(Memphis) An emotional send off for some WWII veterans returning to countries where they fought for our freedom.

Eleven veterans boarded a plane out of Memphis International Airport to return to
Normandy, France and Bastogne, Belgium for first time in 69 years.

The local non-profit “Forever Young Senior Wish” seeks out donations so people like these brave vets can take these trips of healing to give them peace and closure.

Desoto Central Middle School and Lakeland Elementary School raised
money to sponsor two of the vets taking the trip.
