MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Voting rights have been restored for several of the people convicted in the Operation Tennessee Waltz case.
Rosco Dixon, Michael Hooks and John Ford all petitioned to have their voting rights restored after being convicted of felonies in the embezzlement case.
They were not given the right to run for office.
Ford was a state senator and Dixon a state Representative.
Eleven people were convicted of bribery in Operation Tennessee Waltz.
In 2008, Ford was sentenced to four years in prison after that infamous video, as a part of the Tennessee Waltz FBI sting, caught him on camera accepting bribe money.
He was released four years later.
Ford and Dixon are collecting their state pensions, $2,700 for Ford and $1,456 for Dixon.
