Warming Centers open as winter storm barrels down on Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  The Office of Emergency Management implemented its cold weather plan due to the extremely low temperatures forecasted for the Mid-South.

Warming Centers such as malls, shopping centers, libraries and community centers are all opening their doors to provide heat to those who may not have it.

In addition, three centers will also be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. January 21, 2016.

Those include the Orange Mound Community Center  at 2572 Park Avenue, the Bickford Community Center at 233 Henry, and the Hickory Hill Community Center at 3810 Ridgeway Road.
