MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Western Union is paying up following a crackdown by the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice.

It is over the transfer of money and claims that Western Union knew that some wire transfers were used to steal money from people.

Randy Hutchinson from the BBB explains how you might be able to get part of the $586 million settlement.

He says there may be scams out there, but if you receive a form in the mail from a company called Gilardi, it is legitimate.
