(Memphis) “I was trying t help this person get his life in order. In turn he messed up a basketball team,” says a tearful Chaundrea Nicolle.

She wants to set the record straight on how much she knew of the basketball scandal that rocked Ridgeway High School.

“I feel I was used, that was planned,” says Nicolle.

She says she’s caught up in a web of lies, after trying to help McKenzie Sewell,  who she met last summer.

She is 34 and says he is 18. They married in November.

“I dated somebody who was younger than me, but it’s not the first time. It wasn’t planned. It just happened,” she says.

She says Sewell was going through family problems and she allowed him to live with her. It  turned into a relationship.

“He told me no one wanted him in school. His mom wanted him to work and get his diploma. I said I will help you,” says Nicolle.

Nicolle says she took Sewell to Ridgeway High with a birth certificate and transcript and enrolled him, even though he already had a GED.

She says Sewell told her he had someone send him the transcript.

Nicolle she says she never knew Sewell had a GED.

“All I did was take what I thought were legal documents and did what I was supposed to do,” she says.

Nicolle says last Thursday the story started to unravel when Sewell and his mother were  called into the school office about his missing school.

Now Nicolle says everyone is turning on her, ” It’s nobody’s fault but Mckenzie’s. Nobody’s fault but him. Nobody knew.”

Chaundrea Nicolle has been on News Channel 3 before.

We recently talked with her about a paternity suit she  filed against Reality TV Star ‘Rich Dollaz’.

She tells us after this incident at Ridgeway, she and Dollaz have reconciled their differences and he is headed to Memphis to support her.
