Woman carjacked at Memphis Walgreens store

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating a car jacking at a Walgreens store.

Police say a man grabbed a woman, who worked as a clerk at the store, by her neck and pulled her from her car.

She thinks he had a handgun.

Police still have not found the suspect or the victim’s 2005 Pontiac Sunfire.

Family of the victim told WREG she is physically ok, but did not want to do an interview.

Some shoppers want the stores and police to provide more security so something like this does not happen again. “Sometimes we come out here on the lot and there’s a lot of people out here late at night just partying and having fun,” one man said. “So, there needs to be better patrols.”

Police are looking for the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire with a possible Tennessee license plate of U6000N.
