(Memphis) Police have charged a woman with first degree murder for purposely driving her car into a crowd of people. Shenetta Moore ended-up killing her own cousin in the incident. Three others were injured.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday outside a night club on Winchester.
“I really don’t know everything went down but I know it was unnecessary,” said Gloria Steet, the victim’s mother.

Gloria got the news at five a.m. that her daughter was dead, killed by her own cousin, run over by a car.

“So it was a cousin that ended up taking her life?” asked Reporter Sabrina Hall.

“Right. Right.  She says she doesn’t remember nothing that happened.”

Gloria says her daughter went to the Mail Handlers Union hall Friday night, which also doubles as a night club, her cousin Shenetta Moore got into a fight with someone else there.  Witnesses tell WREG that Moore got into her car threatening to kill the person who broke up the fight. She drove full speed into a crowd, hitting that man but also three others, including her cousin Tiffany.

“I mean we sat her and watched this girl. She was unresponsive. She didn’t die at the MED. She was dead on this lot,” said a witness, who wanted to remain anonymous.

Police say Moore didn’t stop. She tried to get on the interstate before police caught and arrested her.

“She was drunk because police said they couldn’t talk to her at the jailhouse until like 6 or 7 o’clock this morning to get the entire story, to get her to talk, because she wasn’t coherent,” said Street.

Gloria says she’s confused on how to feel. She lost her daughter and now her niece to jail, charged with trying to kill three people and ending Tiffany’s life. Tiffany was a mother of an 11-year-old son and six-year-old girl.

“Oh my god. That’s so sad,” said a former neighbor of hers.

Gloria says out of something so senseless, only one thing makes sense.

“Don’t drink and drive,” said Street.

While witnesses say Moore was drunk and trying to go after that other guy with her car, police have still decided to charge her with first degree murder for killing her cousin.
