MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for a woman, who may have been abducted by her boyfriend early Saturday morning.
Police said they have located her 10-year-old daughter and another 6-year-old who were also believed to have been taken.
At about 9:15 p.m., police announced they found a woman’s body while investigating the mother’s disappearance, though they have not identified the deceased at this time.
Police found the body behind a house in the 700 block of Whitney Avenue. Col. Mickey Williams said information police received while investigating the abduction led them to that location.
Every precinct was involved, including the K-9 and aviation units.
According to authorities, 40-year-old Raymond Clark came by the grandmother’s house in the 1000 block of Lexington Circle around 7:30 a.m. saying the mother, Zeneatrice Crawford, was hurt.
Family members came outside and heard children in the trunk screaming, “Help me. Help me.”
That’s when the boyfriend jumped back into the car and took off.
Family members told WREG they saw blood on the vehicle before he drove away.
Clark may be driving a blue 2013 Buick Verano TN tags Z6290E.
Clark is considered a person of interest in the case.
“Turn yourself in before anyone else gets hurt,” Williams said in a news conference as a message to him.
