MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police were on the scene Tuesday night of a shooting and crash in Whitehaven.
Memphis Police said a 39-year-old woman was driving when she was shot by an unknown person around 7:30 near the intersection of East Shelby Drive and Auburn Road.
The woman then crashed her car and was transported to Regional One and was listed in critical condition.
Officers spoke with a witness who said saw a yellow Dodge Charger with a black racing stripe running side by side with the victim’s vehicle. The witness said she was getting out of her vehicle when she heard two gunshots and took cover.
When she looked up, she saw the victim’s vehicle swerving and then struck a pole just west of Shelby and Gilbert.
Police have no suspects.
