Woman kidnapped and robbed from East Memphis strip mall

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police surrounded fire station number thirty where a woman went for help after she was kidnapped and robbed in the parking lot of the Cash Advance store in the 1400 block of Getwell.

The woman told police a man forced her into her car and demanded she go to the bank and get out cash.

They drove several blocks down Getwell to the Bank of America on Park where she took out $300.

The man took off with a friend who was waiting there.

At the fire station where the woman drove for help, police dusted her car for fingerprints, took evidence, and interviewed her.

She told WREG she didn’t want to speak on camera after the ordeal.

People we spoke to said they were just glad she was okay.

Police are still searching for the men who robbed her.
