MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Todd Van Beck came to Forest Hill Funeral Home in Memphis after former manager Clayton Smart went to jail for tax evasion and embezzling from cemetery customers.
The task of restoring the funeral home’s credibility is a daunting one.
Mr. Van Beck is a national figure in the mortician community.
In addition to Forest Hill, Van Beck is working on the restoration team for Mt. Zion Cemetery on South Parkway.
He also serves on the board of the Salvation Army and the Memphis Fire Museum.
