MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was sentenced Friday to 34 years with no chance of parole for raping a 7-year-old boy he was mentoring.
Christopher Bostick, 24, was a volunteer in a Big Brothers Big Sisters program that provided role models to children.
He was convicted in September of the rape, which happened in October 2012 at his home.
The jury only needed 20 minutes to decide to convict him.
His sentence includes 25 years for rape of a child and nine years for aggravated sexual battery.
