MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph donated $20,000 to MIFA’s Plus-1 program Friday, to keep the power and heat on for more than 100 families.

“Zach’s interest in supporting families in need in our community aligns with MIFA’s mission to support this vulnerable population. We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with him and the Grizzlies organization with this ongoing financial support,” MIFA executive director Sally Jones Heinz said. “Plus-1 is a lifesaver for many, and his contribution is critical and greatly appreciated.”

This is the sixth year Randolph has partnered with MIFA and MLGW to help Memphians who face losing their utilities.

“I know what it feels like to be part of a family struggling to make ends meet and I want to help – particularly single mothers doing their best to raise children alone,” Randolph said. “I’m so blessed and there’s always something that can be done, and today that means keeping the heat on.”
