(WREG-TV) Wednesday, the case against, Zachary Adams, the man accused of kidnapping and killing nursing student Holly Bobo, will be back in court.
Holly Bobo was last seen in 2011 by her brother being led into the woods near her home by a man dressed in camouflage.
Adams will not be in court to face the judge in his status hearing. That means the heightened level of security around the Decatur County courthouse in March, with helicopters flying and troopers surrounding the square, will not be necessary.
In most cases, a status hearing is fairly short and to the point.
However, in Adams’ case, several things are expected to be discussed, one being, whether his lawyer will continue to be Nashville-based attorney Jennifer Lynn Thompson.
She was not sure at the last hearing whether she would represent him.
Also, some believe Adams’ attorney will request a change a venue, because many in the community are so emotionally connected to the case and to Holly Bobo’s family.
The judge may also bring up a new charge Adams is facing, coercion of a witness.
Officials have said he threatened to kill his brother, if he continues to talk about Holly’s death and Zachary’s alleged involvement.
WREG will have a crew in the courtroom in Decatur County Wednesday morning.
Zachary Adams is being held in the Chester County Jail without bond.
