(Memphis) The calendar may say “May,” but the streets of downtown Memphis looked more like Halloween in October Friday night.
Believe it or not, it wasn’t hard to spot a zombie as hundreds marched in the annual Memphis Zombie Walk.
It was part parade, part performance that could pass for a scene right out of a horror movie.
Hundreds of zombies, creeping and crawling through the streets of Memphis.
The undead marched down Main Street.
Of course, any good zombie doesn’t go anywhere without first getting zombie-fied.
Dozens were transformed with blood and body paint.
Even kids got in on the act.
“I like playing zombie video games,” said Wade Brittle.
“Over the years, it has become more kid friendly, which I think is cool,” said organizer Kerry Vaughn. “They get a huge kick out of it.”
It was a zombie massacre with a mission. Donations were collected before the walk for the Mid-South Food Bank.
Zombies looking for a feast, so Mid-South families in need can put a feast on their tables.
