(Menlo Park, CA) Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife are the most generous American philanthropists of 2013, according to The Chronicle of Philanthropy.
Zuckerberg donated 18 million shares of Facebook stock to a Silicon Valley non-profit that were worth about $970 million.
Other donors who made the list include Nike’s co-founder Phil Knight and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
