There’s talk about giving Gov. Bill Haslam’s Insure Tennessee plan a second chance in the general assembly after the Medicaid expansion measure failed to get past committee in the special session.

We’ve since learned how the deck was seemingly stacked against its passage, not only in the committee appointments but also in pressure applied by deep-red conservative political groups with deep pockets.

What’s the chance that lawmakers in Nashville can, in the governor’s words, “find a way to work together to address the problems” of the uninsured in the Volunteer State?
