Memphis Urban League CEO Gale Jones Carson and Shelby County Mayor’s Office of Innovation Youth and Family Innovations Manager Dominique McKinnie unveil 4-week fellowship.

Applications for the first year of The Mayor Lee Harris Urban Fellowship close on June 28 at 4:00 p.m. Rising Shelby County high school juniors and seniors can apply at https://bit.ly/urbanfellowship. The fellowship, a partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Innovation and the Memphis Urban League, runs from July 9 to August 1, offering $300/week.

Fellows will receive job readiness training, professional development, health coaching certifications, and skills in Microsoft Office and video editing. The program is held at the Memphis Urban League, 413 N. Cleveland St., Memphis, TN, Tuesday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fellows also receive a job readiness curriculum and attend weekly lunch and learns.
