Dr. Al Arnold of Jackson, Mississippi heard the family stories from his grandmother, but he took it upon himself to research his great-great grandfather, Turner Hall, Jr.
Hall is said to have served with one of America’s greatest generals, Robert E. Lee.
His book, “Robert E. Lee’s Orderly A Modern Black Man’s Confederate Journey,” is the culmination of all that hard work.
