Alcenia’s Egg Custard Pie


Recipe from “Alcenia’s Healing the Soul” cookbook

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 stick melted butter
6 eggs
1 level tablespoon of flour
2 teaspoons vanilla flavor
1 (16 oz) can evaporated milk
1/2 cup homogenized milk
2 pie crusts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, add one egg at a time, beating well. Add flour, butter, vanilla and stir well. Add evaporated milk and homogenized milk then pour mixture in pie crusts. Cook for 40-50 minutes. When it is golden brown, remove from the oven.
