The school board is also working on a plan to keep students at Raleigh-Egypt Middle School in the district.
Shelby County Schools is slated to lose Raleigh-Egypt Middle to the state’s Achievement School District in the fall.
But SCS proposes adding grades to Raleigh-Egypt Elementary and High Schools, allowing parents to effectively opt out of the ASD’s Middle School.
