Now is the time for dining al fresco. A sunset on the beach, an afternoon sail, a hike in the woods or even lunch in the park with a good book—all are great excuses to break out the picnic baskets. When the weather is warm, nothing beats heading outdoors with a cooler of delicious goods.

Skinny Dip as prepared by Chef Elle

T = tablespoon; t = teaspoon; c = cup

Procedure

Remove garlic from paper. Add cloves, goat cheese and creme fraîche to food processor. Pulsate until mixture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and refrigerate until ready to serve. Transfer to serving dish. Sprinkle with garlic oil and chives. (yields 4 servings) To accommodate a larger crowd crowd, double or triple ingredients.
