Time to stir up some controversy, with the news that has everyone buzzing around the Watercooler this week!
Here today is our own Corie Ventura, Myron Mays from Soul Classics 103.5 and whatshappeningmyron.com, and Brodee Scott from 101.9 Radio Now.
A New Jersey Appeals Court has ruled that a person who knowingly sends a text to a driver can share liability if the driver causes an accident.
But, the sender would have to have a quote, “Special Reason” to know that the recipient was behind the wheel. Sound fair?
A nationally respected law professor, penning a book on harassment, wrote a column for CNN this week, pushing for “Revenge Porn” to be a crime.
That’s when an adult knowingly takes a naked photo for, or with, their significant other, who then shares it online after they break up.
Right now, only New Jersey makes it a felony to make pictures like that public, without a person’s consent.
Are you surprised by that?
Should it be a crime?
Parents in some schools across the country are getting letters, saying their child is overweight.
According to Good Morning America, it’s a growing trend for schools to hold annual weigh-ins for students, and then let parents know if their child is dangerously unhealthy.
Overreaching?
