The Flying Saucer is celebrating 18 years in Memphis with a new menu.

It’s  a cheesy family favorite with a lot of flavor!

Flying Saucer’s IPA Macaroni and Cheese
1 cup Lazy Magnolia “Southern hospitality”
1 cup Parmesan
3 cup heavy cream
1 cup of butter
.5 teaspoon cayenne
.5 teaspoon cumin
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
.5 teaspoon Tabasco

Sauce:
Step 1: In a medium sauce pan temp 1/3 of the heavy cream

Step 2: Add butter, heat until melted.

Step 3: Add remainder of heavy cream.

Step 4: Add Parmesan and continue to stir constantly.

Step 5: Season with cayenne, cumin, Tabasco and garlic powder

Step 6: Add beer and continue to cook on a low heat to reduce liquid and thicken.

Pasta:
Step 1: In large pot, bring water to a boil and put in pasta.

Step 2: Add salt to water and pasta, to taste.

Step 3: Cook for 7 minutes or until tender.

Baking and presenting:
Step 1: In a skillet or casserole dish add Alfredo IPA sauce.

Step 2: Add cooked pasta.

Step 3: Cover with Cheddar/Jack Cheese, Japanese Bread crumb and bacon bits.

Step 4: Bake for 5-10 min until cheese is melted and starts to caramelize.

Step 5: Garnish with chives and parsley, enjoy!
