Former Memphis Mayor Dr. Willie Herenton wants to keep juvenile offenders in Shelby County.
Currently, there’s no facility here to house young people who commit crimes.
Dr. Herenton said it’s a plan that could mean money and jobs for Shelby County.
He pitched his idea to Shelby County Commissioners this week and will tell us what it involves.
