Yahoo! Music has called her “smoldering and searing” and Rolling Stone says she’s simply “badass.”  Memphis singer Grace Askew, who rose to fame nationally on NBC’s The Voice, shows off her bluntry (blues+country) sound on “Scaredy Cat”, her new album out this week.  “Scaredy Cat” was recorded at Ardent Studios on a brief break from Askew’s busy touring schedule.  You can check out her new music live at Grace’s CD release party happening Friday, July 25th at Minglewood Hall in Memphis.  Doors open at 8 p.m., music starts at 9 p.m. with Jimbo Mathus taking the stage before Grace’s headlining performance.  Minglewood is located at 1555 Madison Avenue.  For more information, follow Grace Askew on Facebook, or visit the Minglewood Hall website.
