Chef Elle begins her 4-part series on Holiday Entertaining with cocktail recipes for your party!

Historically, the holidays were a time to gather with family and friends. Whether loved ones are across town or in different parts of the country, it can be a logistical nightmare. But thanks to Chef Elle, that’s one less thing to stress about. So at the request of Live At 9 viewers, she’s back with her wildly popular entertaining series. And to kick things off, Chef Elle is sharing three signature cocktails.

Can’t wait that long? Pick up the ingredients in advance. And instead of having drinks at the restaurant, invite your friends over. It will be lighter on your wallet and a good time will be had by all.

Don’t delay in trying these cocktails. Afterall, Chef Elle kept the recipes fresh, easy and delicious.

Grown-up Fruit Cocktails as prepared by Chef Elle

Ingredients

Apple Jack

16 oz. fresh apple juice
4 oz. Jack Daniel
decorative ice cubes

Community Room

16 oz. fresh pineapple juice
8 oz. Moscato
2 Tequila

The Right Time

2 oz. fresh lime juice
8 oz. cranberry juice
12 oz. ginger beer
6 oz. Tequila
1/2 c simple syrup

Tools

sharp knife, small pot, pitcher, reamer or juice extractor, cocktail shaker, cocktail glasses, measuring cups, large spoon

Old School Translation

c = cup

Procedures

Apple Jack Cocktail

Place decorative ice cubes in shaker, apple juice and Jack Daniel. Secure lid. Shake, pour and celebrate.

Community Room Cocktail

Add lime juice, cranberry juice, Tequila, lime juice and simple syrup to pitcher. Stir to incorporate. Serve in well chilled glasses. Skewer two fresh cranberries for garnish (optional).

The Right Time Cocktail

In well chilled glasses, add pineapple juice and Tequila. Finish with Moscato and enjoy.

Recipes yield four servings. To accommodate a larger crowd, simply double or triple the ingredients.

Easy Solution: To make simple syrup, add equal parts water and sugar. Cook over low heat until sugar has completely dissolved. As always, the ingredients are organic and fresh.
