There’s a roadblock in Nashville for a bill that would have allowed Jack Sammons, the Chair of the Memphis Airport Authority, to also hold the job of the city’s Chief Administrative Officer.
It’s something that isn’t allowed under the current state law and doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon.
We haven’t heard from Mayor A C Wharton on this decision, but we did hear form TN Sen. Lee Harris from Memphis and TN Sen. Brian Kelsey from Germantown.
