A De-Annexation Bill directly affecting Memphis and Shelby County is scheduled for a Senate vote Monday in Nashville.
But the controversy over it is raging.
Senator Lee Harris of Memphis has asked the state attorney general to weigh in on whether it’s unconstitutional.
The bill also lost one of its sponsors yesterday, as TN Senator Reginald Tate, also of Memphis, withdrew his support.
