The Rural Roots Music Commission has awarded Matt Boone with “Song of the Year” for his single “My Little Angel”. The song was written in honor of Amanda Springer and her children, who recently died in a house fire in Gates, TN. Matt has been invited to be a part of the National Traditional Country Music Association festival where he will receive the award. Matt Boone, a distant relative of Daniel Boone, has been writing, composing and performing music since he was five-years-old. He lives in Lauderdale County, TN and will be performing live at the Lauderdale County Tomato Festival Friday, July 11 at the Ripley City Park in Ripley, TN.
