The future of the Edge Board is the subject of a special joint public hearing by the Memphis City Council and Shelby County Commission.
Outgoing city councilwoman Wanda Halbert called for the meeting.
Edge is designed to help businesses grow and bring more jobs to the area, but some leaders believe the board has too much power.
The meeting begins at three this afternoon at the FedEx Family House on Poplar.
