Today the National Civil Rights Museum reaches a new milestone. The museum will move forward on a $27 million renovation. Starting today, the main portion of the museum will be closed for the next year or so. The interior of the National Civil Rights Museum will close today for at least one year during renovations. During that project, the balcony where Dr. King was shot will be open for the first time. Beverly Robertson is here to talk with us about this history making project.
