MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Happening today, it’s the deadline for American-based airlines to apply to make commercial flights between the U.S. and Cuba.
Air travel is expected to resume between the two nations sometime this year, for the first time in half a century.
But while the White House has eased travel restrictions between the U.S. and Cuba, taking a trip there isn’t just as simple as hopping on a plane.
