Southaven Mayor Greg Davis has said he would take part in a WREG-TV sponsored debate as he seeks re-election.

Davis changed his mind and filed to run Monday.

Previously Davis had said he would not run again due to the investigation of this spending and due to personal matters.

The Mississippi Auditor’s Office is investigating Davis for illegally using city money for personal use.

Late last year, he was charged with embezzlement for using taxpayer funded gasoline in his personal vehicle.
