MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Race for the Cure is just under two weeks away, and as one of the longest running and oldest of its kind in the Mid-South, you can still get involved.

Since 1982, the foundation behind the Race for the Cure, Susan G. Komen, has spent some $1.5 billion toward breast cancer research.

This morning Elaine Hare shows us how you can get involved.

So far more than 3,500 people have registered for the race, held Oct. 29 at AutoZone Park.

Susan Marshall will sing the  national anthem, Jordan Rogers will DJ and Renegades of Rhythm Drumline will provide entertainment.

The Race for the Cure store opens Thursday at Carrefour at Kirby Woods.
