MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Registration is underway for this year’s Race for the Cure here in Memphis.

The annual event raises money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help fund breast health education, screenings, cancer treatment and research.

The race is this Saturday. It begins at AutoZone Park in Downtown Memphis.

If you’d like to register or get more info, go to our Race for the Cure page.

The statistics are staggering: in the Mid-South, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

But — here’s the good news — survival rates are improving thanks in no small part to the education and research funded by the Race for the Cure.
