Some Shelby County Commissioners were not happy with Sheriff Bill Oldham after he failed to show up at Wednesday’s budget hearings.
Instead, he went to an FBI Training Meeting in Texas, and sent his Chief Administrative Officer and his Chief Deputy in his place.
Commissioners wanted to ask Oldham about his request for an additional $2 million in funding next budget year, which he said would go towards security at Juvenile Court.
The kicker: he already received more than $7 million for that.
Commissioners Terry Roland and Walter Bailey stopped by to talk about the meeting.
