Songwriter Dana Messer learned just 3 guitar chords from a neighbor, then picked up the rest from watching YouTube videos! She now performs regular gigs around the Mid-South and frequently appears at a monthly songwriters’ showcase at The Phoenix. The new Memphis club offers live music every night and many opportunities for local musicians to join in the jam sessions. The Phoenix is located at 1015 S. Cooper in the Cooper/Young area of Midtown Memphis.
