Earlier this week on Live at 9, we talked with Memphis Mayor A C Wharton about the redevelopment of Southbrook Mall.
He said he’s not giving up on Whitehaven despite pulling out of a planned development for the mall.
Wharton said it’s not enough to develop one particular building.
“Once the questions arose we took a hard look at it and said let’s go for something bigger, which we will do, which is much more sustainable with the Whitehaven area, not merely the mall.”
Southbrook Town Centre owners Janice Banks and Cherry Davis gave us their thoughts on the matter Friday.
