Darlene Winters directs the Company D Dancers, a group of young adults with Down Syndrome. They are appearing in a show entitled “Let It Be A Dance” at Hutchinson School, March 20 and 21 at 7PM. Coincidentally, this coincides with World Down Syndrome Day which occurs on March 21.

Meanwhile, Best Buddies, a global volunteer movement to create opportunities for people with intellectual and development disabilities, is urging everyone to replace the “r-word” in their vocabulary with respectful people-first language.
