The City of Memphis announced it’s hosting two community meetings about the future of the Mid-South Fairgrounds.

The city said it wants to tear down the Mid-South Coliseum and use the land for housing and shops.

However, many in Memphis told WREG they want the roundhouse to remain standing.

Bill Lennertz, an expert in community planning with the National Charrette Institute, stopped by to talk about the issue.
