The Future Of The National Civil Rights Museum

The National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis will soon be hiring for one very important position.

Last week, museum president Beverly Robertson announced her retirement.

She plans to step down  next year, after 16 years on the job.

Some of her accomplishments include getting the museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, a designation only 5% of museums achieve.

She’s also credited with having the museum recognized as one of the Top 10 American Treasures, and the Third Most Iconic Site in the Nation by USA Today.
