A national civil rights icon is on a mission in Memphis to promote literacy and education for all.
It’s a cause Ruby Bridges has devoted her life to.
Even as a young girl, she helped end segregation in schools across the country as the first African-American child to attend an all-white elementary school in New Orleans.
That historic moment was immortalized in this Norman Rockwell painting that now hangs in the White House.
