This week, the Shelby County Commission voted to over-ride Mayor Mark Luttrell’s veto of a sales tax increase on the November Ballot. 

So the county will go forward with the vote. 

If passed, it trumps any passage of a sales tax increase in the suburbs. 

The municipalities want to pass their own tax hike to fund suburban schools.
