MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Want to learn more about human trafficking and its effects on the Mid-South?

Calvary Church in Cordova will be hosting “The Hope for Freedom” Human Trafficking Awareness Training on Saturday, October 10.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., the event will feature the Internet Crimes against Children Division, the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, law enforcement, legislators, advocates and more.

Professionals who participate will earn seven contact hours or seven hours of POST certification for law enforcement officers.

However, that doesn’t mean you have to be involved in the anti-trafficking movement to come.

The event is open to the public, but tickets are required.

The event costs $15 for regular attendees and $25 for those seeking CEU’s and POST certifications.

Those prices include refreshments, training materials and certificate.
